Mobile apps and related services for convention centers, trade shows, association and enterprise meeting customers.

SwiftMobile is a Cambridge, MA company that builds mobile app programs for convention centers, association and enterprise meetings and conferences, trade shows and business communities.

Four of us have spent decades working in different parts of the meeting and events industry, so we believe we know meetings. We’ve seen technology come and go. We’ve seen trends rise and fall. And we’ve seen what it takes to make magic happen.

SwiftMobile builds the smartest smartphone apps. When we started talking about mobile for meetings back in 2007, we initially focused on mobile web and laptops. That was before the iPhone changed things. After that it quickly became clear to us that mobile-Web just wasn’t and would not be good enough for every meeting and event. There had to be a native alternative.

We like live meetings. There is something important and exciting about face-to-face events that makes a difference to people. And there’s something curious that happens in the mix of of mobile technology and live meetings. Technology and websites will not replace what’s special about the live event, but mobile tech can make a live event more interesting, less of a hassle, greener, more enjoyable, more educational, and more effective in getting people to get to know a product, service or brand, interact with other, share an idea, join a movement or understand something important. The best apps support and preserve the magic of live events and don’t create static between what’s live and what’s virtual.

When we build apps, our goal is always to make something that people will use and like using and like so much they use it all the time. We want to make apps that people can trust and rely on. We want to make apps that are indispensable. The more people use the app, the more valuable it is to our customer, to their sponsors, and to their attendees. So use—that’s what we focus on. Use and usability and delivering the right content at the right time in an uncomplicated, reliable, high-performance way.

We also want to delight. We want people to like our apps so much that they are willing to explore a little. When you like an app, you’re more likely to click on an exhibitor page or an ad or a sponsors link. You’re more likely to keep the app on your phone after the event. That’s good for our customers because it adds a little luster to their brand. It enhances the value of their investment. We believe it also makes a person more likely to attend or recommend your events in the future.

We also want to be known for our superb customer service. We’re not in this to build one-off apps here and there—we want to know our customers and customize apps that work the best for for their audiences and their facilities and their meetings. And we’re always looking for feedback. From the analytics of app usage to what our customers say, we want to know how we can do more.

Finally, we’ve built a lot of apps! In just a few short years we’ve built and published well over 120 different apps. We’ve done it on a wider range of devices  and operating systems that most of our competitors, in more languages, and for meetings that range from the small user conference to the major trade shows. They’ve all started with our platform, but few of them have ended there. Every meeting and meeting culture are all different—not a lot maybe, but a little. And in important ways. Our belief is that apps should be, too. They are, after all, an extension of your brand, and we think they ought reflect that.
